Barrett Flynn is a geospatial scientist whose career has focused on developing innovative, data-driven solutions to environmental challenges through spatial and temporal analysis. His work blends geospatial science, remote sensing, and machine learning to advance understanding of environmental systems and support informed decision-making.
Barrett has extensive experience building and automating geospatial workflows using Python, VBA, and custom ESRI toolboxes. As a Lead Environmental GIS Analyst supporting federal land and resource management, he designed robust data pipelines, implemented automation tools for spatial analysis and reporting, and led teams of GIS professionals to improve operational efficiency and data integrity.
His background also includes environmental monitoring and database management in national parks, where he developed systems to track and analyze geothermal activity, integrating field instrumentation with custom data structures and visualization tools.
Barrett’s technical strengths include Python development, LiDAR processing, remote sensing, and the full ESRI software suite. He brings a proven ability to streamline complex workflows, enhance data usability, and support multidisciplinary teams—making him a valuable asset for environmental assessment and planning efforts across sectors.
