Jamie Dawson, Co-founder

Jamie Dawson is a GIS and environmental data specialist with extensive experience in spatial data management, workflow automation, and cross-disciplinary project leadership. He has a proven track record of integrating complex datasets, developing efficient data systems, and delivering high-impact visualizations to support environmental decision-making and policy development.

Jamie has led large-scale geospatial initiatives, including the digitization and modernization of over a million land and engineering records for public agencies.

He has managed all phases of data projects—from RFP development through execution—ensuring quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. His leadership of cross-functional teams and ability to align technical solutions with organizational goals have been key to the success of numerous initiatives.

In earlier roles, Jamie focused on environmental data analysis and reporting, including the management of hydrologic and water-use datasets. He developed and automated GIS workflows to enhance data accuracy and streamline compliance reporting, deepening his expertise in environmental monitoring, spatial analysis, and regulatory frameworks.

Jamie’s strengths lie in GIS development, data governance, and process optimization. His ability to bridge technical and operational needs makes him a valuable asset across a wide range of environmental, planning, and data modernization projects.

Barrett Flynn, Co-Founder

Barrett Flynn is a geospatial scientist whose career has focused on developing innovative, data-driven solutions to environmental challenges through spatial and temporal analysis. His work blends geospatial science, remote sensing, and machine learning to advance understanding of environmental systems and support informed decision-making.

Barrett has extensive experience building and automating geospatial workflows using Python, VBA, and custom ESRI toolboxes. As a Lead Environmental GIS Analyst supporting federal land and resource management, he designed robust data pipelines, implemented automation tools for spatial analysis and reporting, and led teams of GIS professionals to improve operational efficiency and data integrity.

His background also includes environmental monitoring and database management in national parks, where he developed systems to track and analyze geothermal activity, integrating field instrumentation with custom data structures and visualization tools.

Barrett’s technical strengths include Python development, LiDAR processing, remote sensing, and the full ESRI software suite. He brings a proven ability to streamline complex workflows, enhance data usability, and support multidisciplinary teams—making him a valuable asset for environmental assessment and planning efforts across sectors.

Justin Smith, Co-founder

Justin Smith brings extensive experience in natural resource management, environmental analysis, and interdisciplinary collaboration. He has a strong track record of developing and leading comprehensive environmental programs that integrate diverse datasets, support regulatory compliance, and generate actionable insights for ecosystem management. His leadership and technical proficiency make him a valuable contributor to initiatives focused on sustainable resource use and environmental resilience.

In his current role supporting federal land management efforts, Justin has guided projects that integrate ecosystem analysis, NEPA compliance, and strategic environmental planning. He is skilled in producing planning documents, geospatial data products, and data standardization protocols to ensure environmental initiatives align with statutory requirements and best practices.


Previously, as a Biologist with CEMML, Justin modeled wildlife distributions, analyzed multi-scale ecological datasets, and partnered with state and federal agencies on conservation strategies. His work in marine and terrestrial ecosystems has enhanced his capabilities in data management, environmental monitoring, and collaborative science, positioning him as a well-rounded expert in ecological assessment and long-term planning.
